Approval planning

In court and on the high seas…You know the saying. It can also be applied to bureaucracy without risk. Because here too, you never know what to expect or when.

Life-cycle: Approval planning

Actually, everything is clear. Actually.

The disadvantages of a federal system are particularly evident when it comes to permits and procedures. Requirements vary from state to state, district to district, and even municipality to municipality.

With access networks of all kinds, different levels of authority also come into play. From the proverbial construction (especially in civil engineering at network level 3) to regulations on telecommunications lines (e.g., shielding).

And it doesn’t get any simpler at level 4 of the network, i.e., in the building itself. This is because it’s not just the authorities (e.g., monument protection) who have a say, but also the owner(s), for example, when it comes to the layout in the stairwell.

The planner therefore needs a software solution that can do two things. Firstly, it must comply with precise definitions (of building components) and limit values (of signals) – which is no problem thanks to predefined planning components. Secondly, it must be able to handle different scenarios in parallel. These can have a significant impact on both the layout (if district heating is installed in parallel, for example) and the schedule (such as the breeding season of certain bird populations).

The topic of »GIS ancillary provisions for broadband funding« also fits into the context of approval planning.

The rollout of FTTH networks in municipalities and rural areas is currently in full swing in Germany. As tier-1 operators are often reluctant to invest in such projects, the provision of public funding plays an important role in financing these networks.

AND SystemSolution supports the current GIS ancillary provisions, which specify the public-sector measures to support the rollout of Next Generation Access broadband coverage in the funding areas.

In AND, the user plans in accordance with the »GIS ancillary provisions 4.1« using route planning functions, predefined library objects and templates (for complex objects) as well as supplied tables.

Once the work is complete, you simply draw a polygon around the planned areas and call up the export function. Here the user can choose the level of detail (in accordance with the GIS ancillary provisions) and generate the files in GeoJSON format. Ready for submission.
