Network levels:
Network level 4
It’s like a marathon: if you don’t reach the finish line, the 41 kilometers you ran before would have been for nothing.

The last mile
While colleagues working on network level 3 have relatively free rein, provided that no parked cars have ignored the barrier, network level 4 is a process that requires a great deal of coordination from start to finish.
It starts with the janitor, who must unlock the utility rooms. Then it’s on to the administrator, who has to determine whether the disused chimney can be used. And it ends with the resident, who wants to have a say in how the cables are routed through his apartment.
Collecting data at the start of the planning phase and then on an ongoing basis is therefore not only useful, but necessary. It serves as a basis for planning, documentation, and operation.

The building network must be considered an integral part of the network. And planned accordingly. With signals that can be routed from the network head to the terminal box. With digital function tests and automation of repetitive planning steps, for example for standard floors in multi-tenant buildings.
Parallel redlining and document integration are desirable. This simplifies cooperation with owners, property managers, and residents. It also serves as proof of work for service providers.
And during operation, easy access to documentation ensures faster troubleshooting in case of problems. This is a significant advantage.
