DOCSIS, the lifeline for hybrid fiber-coaxial networks.

Nice to have you back!
It’s good that development never stops. And that technological openness sometimes makes sense. Because although coaxial and HFC networks seemed to have run out of steam for a long time ago, they have taken a deep breath thanks to DOCSIS – and are now back on top.
Networks have already proven themselves in the past. And thanks to gigabit bandwidth, they can now venture out onto the high seas. Ahoy!

Thanks to the comeback of coaxial cable, HFC networks now have a completely different lifespan. This must of course be taken into account in planning and documentation.
Why not? If the home network is powerful enough, it is already in place. So there is no mess or noise associated with a new installation. And there are no costs if nothing is purchased or built.
Fortunately, that there are not only software solutions for fiber optic networks, but also solutions that have mastered this technology perfectly and can also handle aspects such as high frequency levels, radiation, and channel grids.
And there are already established software solutions for pure coaxial networks…
