AND is a highly intuitive easy-to-learn, easy-to-use integrated and scalable solution for the complete life-cycle of all types of access networks including FTTx, HFC/DOCSIS, G.fast, SMATV, and campus networks. The integrated network modelling enables the user to accurately plan, engineer, verify as well as document network builds, evolutions and extensions.

AND provides one single design and documentation solution for the complete end-to-end network: Central Office to CPE (ISP, OSP, In-building) respectively Headend to cable modem (incl. CMTS, HUBs, fibre nodes, etc.) No separate modules, the network data are routed transparently routed through the network.

AND manages both topography and topology:

Topography – maps and network data

  • Passive and active components with geo-references and addresses
  • Cables with SDO-geometries, i.e. physical lie of cables

Network components, passive and active, are defined in libraries and used with drag & drop. Engineering characteristics according to vendor specifications. Complex components such as MDUs, cabinets, OLT racks, etc. can be assembled as blocks and reused as templates. Sourcing, pricing data, installation effort, etc. can be added to each component. Dynamic labels can be assigned to show technical path data and much more.

Integrated engineering functions allow you to design using sophisticated calculations executed in background for active and passive components. With design verification and calculation for optical power, RF levels and power consumption.

Full support of ISP as integral part of network (central office, PoPs, cabinets, etc.) allowing modules to be easily mounted in shelves and racks. AND provides unparalleled support for in-building networks such as apartment & tower bocks, hotels, hospitals, business parks, etc.

The AND SystemSolution incorporates a multi-tier architecture with central database utilizing middleware and providing further options like GIS or web interfaces. Both mapping and network data are stored in a single Oracle™ database.
